ABOUT THE HOME
This property was owned by Emma Smith and her children in 1847. At that time there were only four lots on the block, and this was next door to the Tanner House. Emma became very close friends with Elizabeth Tanner who lived next door until 1860, when the Tanner Family moved to Mulholland (see their history under the 1415 Knight description). The home had been owned since the 1940’s by Lucille Harsch, a granddaughter of Elizabeth Tanner.
This two story home has a large living room with a bay window and a large dining room, both with hardwood floors, a bedroom, bathroom, large kitchen and dining area, and a back porch on the first floor. Upstairs is currently an apartment with living room (or bedroom), another bedroom, kitchen and bathroom. The home has central heat and air and the upstairs can have separate electric. There is an attached one car garage. Has a full stone basement with arches and high ceiling, dating from early Nauvoo.
RATES
Negotiable depending on length of lease, and furnished or unfurnished.
