Description:

The Abish Home was built in 1905 and has four bedrooms with a double bed, a 3/4 bed, 2-single beds and a bunk bed. The bathroom upstairs with has a large tub, and the bathroom downstairs has a shower with the washer and dryer on the other side. The dining room seats 6 with 3 extra chairs.  The family room has a queen size sofa sleeper. There is beautiful woodwork, trim, hardwood floors, pocket doors and windows above the doors.

The house is 12.74 miles from Nauvoo.  Only 3 to 5 minutes away are Pizza Hut, Hardees, Taco Bell, McDonalds and Burger King. Ft. Madison offers a number of restuarants open late. Within 2 minutes is a supermarket Hyvee that also offers hot meals to eat there or take out.

It is 9 miles from the small town of West Point during the summer they have the sweet corn festival with incredible corn on the cob! It's also the home of Sonny's supermarket known for "Best of Wurst". Potato bratwurst is one of many different homemade bratwurst.

In Cantril 30 minutes away is the Dutchman's store. Walking inside this old country store is like walking into another time. In the same Van Buren county there is a roadside Amish food stand that sells the best lime pickles along with baked goods.
