Vacation Ideas

Although the historical sights and exhibits in Nauvoo can be seen in a weekend (all historic sites are open on Sunday afternoons), we would recommend you consider staying longer, especially during the busy summer season, or staying an entire week allowing time to visit the temple, the family history center, see all the entertainment, go horseback riding, go on a river boat cruise, and take a few day trips such as northern Missouri historical church sites, the home of Tom Sawyer and Huck Finn in Hannibal, or the Abraham Lincoln sites in New Salem and Springfield. Make it a week of relaxation and fun, while building testimony and spirituality in this unique environment.
